construction project, China, real estate--Spending On New Construction Projects Up 26.5% in China

July 29 -- Domestic spending on new construction projects increased by 26.5 percent year-on-year to 9.34 trillion yuan in the first half, according to the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC).

 

The number of new construction projects decreased by 939 to 175,151 in the first half. 

 

According to the NDRC, the number of projects under construction jumped by 24,502 to 299,311.

Total spending on these projects increased by 27 percent year-on-year to 39.37 trillion yuan.

 

Shares of Poly Real Estate (600048) rose one percent to close at 13.13 yuan today.
