Italy, highway, infrastructure--Italy sets highway plan

In Italy the interdepartmental committee for economic planning (CIPE) is setting a budget of €3.1 billion for infrastructure work. The CIPE has targeted some €2.1 billion of this for key projects and those approved include the Campogalliano-Sassuolo motorway link costing €560 million and part of the 639 link with an estimated cost of €130 million. In addition, CIPE has awarded a road network maintenance package worth €268 million to ANAS. A €2.3 billion plan for the third lane of the A4 Venice-Trieste motorway has also been approved, along with the Ragusa-Catania motorway which has an estimated value of €850 million.
