Komatsu, dump truck, Russia--Komatsu to begin dump truck output in Russia-Nikkei

(Reuters) - Komatsu Ltd (6301.T) plans to begin output of large dump trucks in Russia in business year 2011, the first foreign firm to do so, the Nikkei business daily said on Sunday.

The company, the world's No. 2 construction machinery maker after Caterpillar Inc (CAT.N), expects to make 20 to 30 of the model HD785 dump truck at its plant in Yaroslavl, north of Moscow, in the first year.

It intends to boost production, depending on demand, from the second year, the report said. Russia's construction machinery market will continue to grow with very big potential, the paper quoted the company's chairman, Masahiro Sakane, as saying.
