Sany, Russia, Africa--Sany Heavy Industry To Build R&D Bases In Russia, South Africa & South Asia

October 15 -- Sany Heavy Industry (600031) plans to establish research and development (R&D) bases in Russia, South Africa and South Asia, reports 163.com, citing Sany vice president Zhou Fugui.

Currently, Sany has four overseas R&D bases in India, America, Germany and Brazil. The Changsha-based firm is aiming for 50 billion yuan in sales revenue this year. Sales in 2009 hit 30 billion yuan.

Recently, the government of Chile used the Sany SCC4000 crawler crane in the widely publicized rescue operation of miners that ended on October 14.
