Shantui, Construction Machinery--Shantui Construction Machinery Predicts 2010 Net Profit Will Grow 50-100%

October 18 -- Shantui Construction Machinery (000680) predicts its 2010 annual net profit will surge between 50-100 percent year-on-year to hit 633.21-844.29 million yuan, it said in a company filing.

The company’s 2009 net profit was 422.14 million yuan, with earnings per share of 0.56 yuan. The Shandong-based construction equipment maker attributes the profit growth to favorable domestic economic conditions and growing sales.

Shantui's shares rose 1.24 percent to close the morning session at 15.47 yuan.
