Truck, China, Cat, Navistar--China Truck Deal Near Completion?

Caterpillar Inc. and Navistar International Corp are finalizing their $586 million truck and engine manufacturing joint venture with China's Anhui Jianghuai Automobile, according to a Reuters report. The move would be the completion of a deal announced last September in which Cat and Navistar, through their NC2 Global LLC truck joint venture, signed a framework agreement with Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Co.,Ltd. At the time of the signing of the framework agreement, the participants would work toward finalizing the joint venture by mid-2010.
