Case, material handler--Case CX-B Materials Handlers

Case Construction Equipment launched CX210B-SL Scrap Loader and the larger CX240B-MH Materials Handler. The CX210B-SL and the CX240B-MH are the latest additions to a growing range of industry specific models, designed and manufactured by Case Special Excavators (CSX). Based on well proven CX210B and CX240B crawler excavator components, the two machines are designed to work with a wide range of grapples and other materials handling attachments. The CX240B-MH comes with a 7.1m main boom and a 5.0m dipper arm, to provide superior reach and lifting capability. A choice of alternative sticks is available, along with a heavier 6.9 tonne counterweight that ensures total stability, even at full reach, providing confidence for the operator and increased operational performance. The CX210B-SL scrap loader uses a 6.8m main boom, with a 5.2m goose neck dipper, for mass movement of industrial waste.

The proven elevating cab structure of the Case CX-B models offers up to 2.3m of lift, its rigid structure inspiring total operator confidence, providing stability and improved visibility to the working area. The machines benefit from the Case CX-B cab’s standard class-leading levels of low noise and vibration. A reclining operator’s seat is standard, along with air conditioning with nine outlet louvers, providing heating and ventilation in all weather conditions.

Both the CX210B and the CX240B models are powered by a proven low emission Isuzu diesel engine. The turbocharged and intercooled engine provides 157hp (117kW) of power and 628Nm of torque in the CX210B and 177hp (132kW) with 636Nm of torque in the larger CX240B. The machines feature the Case Intelligent Computer Command Control System (ICCCS), providing the operator with complete control of engine output and hydraulic performance.

As with all Case CX-B machines, the filters, fill points and regular service items can all be easily reached from ground level. Both the Case CX210B-SL and the CX240B-MH are equipped with Case Extended Maintenance System (EMS) bushes on the majority of pins. EMS bushings allow for 1,000 hour greasing intervals, reducing daily downtime and increasing productivity for the customer.
