Beiqi Foton Motor, commercial vehicle--Beiqi Foton Motor leads commercial vehicle sales in Nov: CAAM

Dec. 22, 2010 (China Knowledge) - Beiqi Foton Motor Co Ltd<600166>, a Beijing-based vehicle maker, sold a total of 55,800 commercial vehicles in China last month, ranking first in the top ten automaker list released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers.

Dongfeng Automobile Co Ltd<600006> ranked second with sales of 52,800 commercial vehicles, followed by Faw Car Co Ltd<000800> with 33,400 units, Shenyang Jinbei Automotive Co Ltd<600609> with 20,500 units, Sinotruk Group with 19,500 units, Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Co Ltd<600418> with 18,600 units, Jiangling Motors Corp Ltd<000550><200550> with 16,700 units, Chongqing Changan Automobile Co Ltd<000625><200625> with 13,900 units, Shandong KAMA Automobile Manufacturing Co Ltd with 9,900 units and Great Wall Motor Co Ltd<2333> with 9,300 units.
 
In November, the combined commercial vehicle sales volume of the ten automakers amounted to 250,400 units, accounting for 70% of the total commercial vehicle sales in the country.

Shanghai General Motors Co Ltd, a joint venture between General Motors and Shanghai Automotive Industry Corp or SAIC, topped Chinese passenger vehicle sales with sales of 102,400 units last month.
