Wajax| Heavy equipment firm Wajax reports earnings increase

Heavy equipment, industrial component and power system provider Wajax Corp. saw its second-quarter profit rise 35 per cent. 

Toronto-based Wajax said it earned $16.5 million in the period, up from $12.2 million in the comparable quarter of 2010. 

Revenue rose 23 per cent to $334.1 million with gains in Western Canada accounting for the majority of the increases in all three of its business lines. Wajax distributes and provides service support for heavy equipment, industrial components and power systems, with 118 branches and 2,300 employees across Canada
