Newton man in coma after concrete truck accident‎

(GEARY COUNTY, Kan.) A Newton man remains in critical condition after the concrete truck he was driving flipped over.  It happened Tuesday morning in Geary County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says 29-year-old Travis Kemph was getting on I-70 west from K-18, when the truck full of concrete flipped over and slid down the embankment. Kemph was trapped under the truck until the fire department showed up.

He was airlifted to a Topeka hospital where he remains in a coma. A family member tells Eyewitness News they've set up a fund to help with Kemph's medical bills.  He grew up in Newton and has been living in Manhattan.  The accident is still under investigation.
