Truck pump focus from Sany

Concrete equipment manufacturer Sany - which opened a manufacturing facility for stationary concrete pumps, truck-mounted concrete pumps and concrete mixer trucks in Germany last year - will be showcasing a wide range of equipment at the Intermat exhibition. Its 4665 m2 outdoor stand will include a SYG 5260 THB 36 truck-mounted concrete pump with RZ5 placing boom. This is a 30 m category pump with five placing boom arms. Sany said the newly designed self-supporting low-distortion basic frame, with X support at the front and a straight support at the rear, allows the truck to be deployed in relatively compact spaces while ensuring stability. It is mounted on a standard four-axle chassis with a total weight of 27.5 tonnes. Sany will also have its SYG 5320 THB 42 with RZ5 placing boom on display at the show - a machine which features five 40m category distributor mast arms. The self-supporting basic frame in box girder construction has supporting arms at the front which have dual telescoping capability. At the rear, the support can be swung out hydraulically and pivoted directly on the basic frame. This transfers the forces from the load torque of the placing boom directly to the rear supports, and is said to ensure stable working characteristics even for extreme placing boom positions. Conveyor units for the SYG 5260 THB 36 and SYG 5320 THB 42 truck-mounted concrete pumps will also be on show. Featuring hydraulic drive units with power control, Sany said the conveyers have produced energy savings of up to 20%. The manufacturer also highlighted its simplified service and maintenance access for the conveyor units - the delivery pistons are moved directly into the rinsing chamber for exchange using an extended stroke of the hydraulic work cylinder. Once this has been done, the change can take place quickly, in a matter of minutes, according to the company. And Sany will also be showing its stationary concrete pumps at the event, including the HBT 60C-1816 and the HBT 80C-1818 machines. Powered by 110 kW and 170 kW diesel engines, the pumps are equipped with automatic high- and low-pressure switches which mean that no additional steps are required in order to switch the concrete pump from piston to rod drive.
